How to add transitions to your videos

In this article, we will show you how to apply transitions to your videos. Currently, you can only add transitions in between your video clip. Transitions for audio and text/subtitles will only be added in the future.

Transitions can be applied to the start or end of a clip or in case of multiple clips inside the project in between the clips. You will notice a slight decrease in the length of the clips if applied between two clips. This is due to the transition merging the end of the first clip into the start of the following clip.

Here is how to add transitions step by step:

Head over to veed.io
Create an account or Log in
Click on New Project
Drag and drop the video to the "Upload the files" part of the window or click on it, and you can select the file you want to upload
Wait for the video to upload
(Optional) Go into the Upload tab, click on Upload video, and upload another video clip
On the timeline, you will see two boxes with a while through it on either end of the clip. Click on any of those or click on the "Transition" tab on the left-hand toolbar.

Select one of the 10 transition options to apply to that part of the clip. You can also drag and drop the transition from the list to the timeline to either end of the clips.

If you are finished with the video, then click on the Export button at the top right and then on Export Video, wait for it to render, and then you can download it by clicking on the Download MP4 button
