Automatically Translate and Subtitle Videos

The translation feature is available only for the PRO plan.

In this article, we will show you step by step how to automatically subtitle your videos and translate them.

Head over to veed.io
Create an account or Log in.
Click on Create Project.
Drag and drop the video to the "Upload a file" part of the window or click on it and you can select the file you want to upload.
Wait for the video to upload.
Click on the Subtitles tab.
Click on the Auto Subtitle button.

Select the clip and the language that is spoken in the video and click Create Subtitles.

Wait for the Subtitles to generate.
If there are mistakes in the generated subtitles, click on the subtitle line and rewrite the text. For more information on editing the subtitles, check this article: How to Edit Subtitles

We suggest you correct the subtitles before you translate them because the transcribed subtitles will be translated. Correcting the generated subtitles will increase the accuracy of the translation.

To translate the subtitles, click on the Translate tab and click on the + Add New Language button.

Select Next and select the language you want to translate the subtitles to then click on the Translate button and it will start translating.

The translated subtitles will automatically show. You can click on the eye icon beside the language you want to show and edit on your timeline.

As of the moment, the editor will only show one language track. If you have different clips with different language tracks, you need to choose only one same language track to show it on the timeline.

Check the translated subtitles to make sure there are no errors in them.
If you are finished with editing, click on the Export button at the top right side of the screen and then on Export Video.
The video will render out and it will redirect you to the Download page where you can download the video.
